Planning a Trip to The Gardens
The Gardens are a living classroom for agriculture, sustainability, and nature. Our mission is to engage the local community in a way that sparks curiosity and discovery and develops a person’s wonder for the natural world. Our 7-acre green-space can host a wide range of educational activities:
- Youth Education Programs
- PreK-12 field trips
- 4-H and Scouting programs
- Junior Master Gardener demos
- Teacher training and more
Field trips and school group programs can be scheduled Tuesdays through Fridays during the Academic Year (August 1 to May 31). Each day has a morning or afternoon option, with the option of enjoying lunch in The Gardens after or prior to the program.
Please note that at this time, we are unable to accommodate groups larger than 60 students at one time.
Programs typically last about 2 hours, and will include walking for about half a mile and a lesson/activity. The Gardens are wheelchair accessible.
To request a field trip or school program, please read through the Field Trip & School Program Guidelines, and submit a Gardens School Group Request Form at least 3 weeks in advance.
Field Trip & School Group Pricing
Programs are $6 per student. Adults (guardians, staff, or chaperones) attending as part of the supervision requirements attend at no cost.
*Revenue generated from our field trips and school groups goes towards educational programming and general maintenance for the Gardens.
