The Gardens at Texas A&M University is one of the focal points of the Texas A&M campus. From educational opportunities, to a stunning background for celebration photos to a place for quiet reflection time, The Gardens offers something for everyone.
You can show your support of The Gardens at Texas A&M University by purchasing an engraved brick for the paths leading to the Leach Teaching Gardens. Your gift will help us look after The Gardens every season and allow us to offer programs that create community and develop a wonder for plants and nature.
Your engraved brick is a lasting legacy to celebrate a graduation, honor a loved one, pay tribute to a favorite professor or colleague or remember your time as a student.
You can purchase an 8-by-4-inch brick for $500. You may order a brick online or by mail.
Frequently asked questions
You are welcome to customize your engraving with any keyboard characters you like, and the special character of a heart is also available. The engraving will be in black uppercase letters. Each brick fits three lines with 15 characters per line, including spaces and punctuation. To save space and for consistency, we will use “&” rather than “and.” Personalized messages are welcomed, but all brick inscriptions are subject to approval.
If your message does not fit on three lines of 15 characters, please contact us at [email protected]. We can help you abbreviate or discuss purchasing multiple bricks.
Bricks are placed in the main path to The Gardens, between the Wildlife, Fisheries, and Ecological Sciences building and the Event Lawn. The area of the path where the bricks will be installed is circled in red on the map below. Unfortunately, we are unable to guarantee brick placement. However, once installed, a map of the location of your brick will be provided. Once installed, bricks will remain for the life of the pathway.
Bricks are installed twice per year, once in the fall and again in the spring. Bricks can be ordered at anytime to be included in a future installation.
Commemorative bricks are available for $150. After your purchase, you will receive more information about the delivery time of your commemorative brick.
Yes! Company matching may be used to purchase bricks. Please check with your company to ensure this gift is eligible for corporate matching and for specific guidelines. If you intend to utilize a matching gift to purchase a brick, more time may be needed to complete your transaction.
Gifts are tax-deductible to the extent that no goods and/or services were received in exchange and are used to support the Path to The Gardens Fund.
