The Office of the Vice Chancellor of Agriculture at Texas A&M University is seeking a Program Manager to oversee operations of The Gardens.
The position requires strong horticultural expertise and minor garden construction experience. During construction of the Teaching Gardens Complex (2016 and 2017), the Manager will assist the outside design consultan
ts and the internal Texas A&M AgriLife Construction Team. A key short‐term goal is to assure proper construction of the complex. Once construction of the Complex is complete (late 2017), the Manager will support and direct garden and grounds staff, student workers/interns, and volunteers in management and operations of the entire facility. The Manager will report to and work cooperatively with staff of the Office of the Vice Chancellor and Dean of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Texas A&M University, and will assist with design and construction of other phases of The Gardens, once funding is available.
