In the midst of uncertain times, we can turn to the consistency and calm of nature and the outdoors…and especially our gardens! Never have I felt more deeply the motto of The Gardens at Texas A&M University to be the place where spirit and inspiration bloom! We provide a wellspring of joy, peace, and reprieve in a sometimes scary world.
Like Texas A&M University, we are currently open for the campus community, but practicing social distancing (which is ideal for listening for birds!). We have also postponed or suspended all our events through at least May 1. Since you may not be able to visit in person right now, we will be offering daily virtual doses of beauty to nourish the spirit on our social media channels. We’ll also offer some fun activities and ideas for you and your family as we all stay close to home.
At the Leach Teaching Gardens, we want you to find respite and inspiration- especially during these difficult times. We encourage you to get outside for a few minutes each day, take a few deep breaths and take a moment to wonder, wander and celebrate the beauty of our natural world.
